USA And Cuba Begin Their Mutual Dialog

After prolonged deadlock, USA and Cuba resume their series of talks in New York during 2009. This was the first dialog between two neighboring countries, who were sworn enemies since Cold War days. The discussion was centered on, mainly the tricky issue of migration of people between the two countries. US State department had already announced that they would consider how a safe and legal and orderly migration between Cuba and USA can be created. US President Barack Obama had already decided in April 2009 to authorize money transfer to the island by Americans of Cuban origin. Reciprocating this gesture Cuban President informed US President in May 2009 that Cuba is ready to accept the offer of talks with USA.
